This ring is handmade from a French 10 Franc silver coin. These large coins were minted in .900 silver from 1965 to 1973.
On the outer band of this substantial coin ring is the French national motto "LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE". Three characters represent each word of the motto: Liberty holds a pole with a Phrygian cap, Equality has a balance of justice and Hercules stands in the middle protecting the two women.
"REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE" is on the inner band along with an ornate wreath. The ring pictured is a size X (US 11.5, EU 66) and has a band width of approximately 12mm. Your ring will look slightly different depending on what size you choose
